HRS collaborates with designer Philippe Starck to launch innovative, polished steel hydrogen refueling station

A hydrogen refueling station gets a touch of extravagance as renowned designer Philippe Starck partners with European hydrogen mobility company HRS to create a striking reflective polished steel cabinet box, attracting attention and interest. This collaboration takes hydrogen refueling to a whole new level, adding a dash of style to this eco-friendly technology.

The innovative dispenser designed in collaboration with Philippe Starck has just been unveiled at the COP28 event held in Dubai (from November 30 to December 12, 2023). The cutting-edge dispensers will be installed starting from 2024, offering refueling capacities of up to 1 tonne/day for the HRS40 station and 200kg/day for the HRS14 station.

Hydrogen-Refueling-Solutions (HRS), formerly known as TSM, has been at the forefront of hydrogen mobility since its establishment in 2004. With a strong commitment to reducing transport emissions, HRS has been designing and manufacturing hydrogen refueling stations for over a decade, enabling the transition to cleaner and greener transportation solutions.

Philippe Starck, a world-renowned designer, is known for his wide-ranging ingenuity and unwavering focus on improving lives through creation. Considered one of the pioneers of "democratic design," Starck's impressive body of work spans various fields. From everyday products like furniture, lemon squeezers, and electric bikes to architectural projects that offer unique experiences, and even groundbreaking ventures in marine and aerospace engineering, such as megayachts and space station habitation modules. With each new creation, Starck pushes the boundaries of design and establishes himself as one of the most innovative inventors on the international stage.

In summary, HRS's collaboration with renowned designer Philippe Starck and their participation in COP28 signifies their dedication to advancing sustainable energy solutions. With the introduction of their state-of-the-art dispensers, HRS continues to pave the way for hydrogen-powered mobility, ensuring a greener future for transportation.

“Hydrogen is clean; it is nothingness, the ether. It is clear that HRS BY STARCK hydrogen refueling stations should be dematerialized. No particular style or design, for an object, which, like all other smart devices, has already disappeared. This station that will fuel the future is almost invisible: a polished stainless-steel box, a mirror with a window through which we can see that the interior is almost empty, a few strange optical effects, known as dichroism, that make this nothingness change color. HRS BY STARCK is elegant and intelligent energy, at the service of hydrogen, which is the minimum that gives the maximum, serving people and the future.” – Philippe Starck, Designer
