THE ICON – BMW and TYDE develop innovative watercraft for zero-emission urban mobility

BMW has unveiled THE ICON, a zero-emission watercraft developed together with boat manufacturer TYDE. This eco-friendly mobility solution represents an integrated approach to transportation, which blends travel on the water with commuting on land. Concentrated urban areas, especially, need creative and sustainable solutions which benefit the people who inhabit them. Boat maker TYDE was responsible for crafting the innovative watercrraft – THE ICON and it was designed in the studio of Designworks.

Drawing on its extensive background in electric mobility, BMW has partnered with boat manufacturer TYDE to bring an integrated solution of sustainable premium mobility to urban areas. THE ICON is a creative embodiment of luxury and responsibility – a combination of BMW's technological know-how and TYDE's expertise in shipbuilding that results in a futuristic design with zero emissions, and an enjoyable experience.
