The innovative e-bike by Noordung comes with music speakers

Young Slovenian brand Noordung has just been released their exciting high-tech e-bike: the Noordung. The small company is based on the café racer culture and tradition, with a goal to create a modern day version of the cult cruiser bike and upgrade it to a smart high tech machine. The result is a unique bike looking like a motorcycle that not only offers a quality experience but aims to actively fight air pollution and its negative health effects.

Noordung e-bike in detail 

It’s exactly for this reason that the Noordung Boombox includes a PM 2.5 and PM 10 particle sensor which keeps track of air pollution and its particulate matter. While taking it for a spin or using the device as a standalone speaker, the user can track real-time data on air quality, which they can then access in the Noordung app in order to find the least polluted routes and enjoy the freshest air possible.

The Noordung e-bike, made of carbon fiber weighs 20.8 kilograms including the 3.5 kg boombox. The boombox, looking like the tank of a motorcycle, sits on the top tube of the e-bike. The 300 Wh battery is located in there, and can be charged via USB-C within three hours. It is removable and can also be used as a powerbank.

The light electric hub motor is incorporated into the elegant rear wheelset, which has been developed entirely by Noordung’s engineers. It’s one of the lightest of its kind and works very quietly, which is also a plus in terms of noise pollution on our cities’ extremely busy roads. With the electric motor, the Noordung can produce up to 60 km of supported range – but because it is so light, it can also easily be ridden completely without the electric motor’s help.

Music as a companion 

The Noordung is a pioneer in incorporating music into the urban mobility experience: at the core of the Noordung Boombox, there are four powerful speakers, which are able to produce a high-fidelity sound. In order to channel most of it directly to the rider, they are thoughtfully tilted upwards. 

Made to stand out from the crowd, the striking and unique design made with premium materials and exquisite craftsmanship are what makes the Noordung a visually attractive urban e-machine. Expected to cost 6.990 €.
