VanMoof launches next generation e-bikes

A few weeks ago we did a test ride with VanMoof’s e-bike X2. Find the review here. This week the Dutch brand revealed their next generation e-bikes, the S3 and X3. As the new bikes are 40 percent cheaper that the previous models, they are set to inspire millions of city dwellers to switch to two wheels. The new generation has an improved performance and upgraded tech starting at a price of 1998 €. Ten years of innovation is put into new generation e-bikes – packed into the sleek aluminium frames. The S3 and X3 are equipped with a more powerful motor, a revamped Turbo Boost for instant acceleration, an automatic electronic four gear shifting, a integrated hydraulic brakes, a keyless kick lock and the signature anti-theft tech.

As we know from the previous models, the VanMoof bikes are the perfect and most stylish city bikes. The S3 and X3 offer the ultimate riding experience that will change the city commute as we know it. With a much lower price, the e-bikes will be affordable to a wider audience. But how does it come that the new generation is a lot cheaper? VanMoof has taken ownership of the entire supply chain, building its own hyper-efficient manufacturing and distribution system. Due to the new level of ownership and control and combination with its direct-to-consumer sales model, VanMoof is able to produce their e-bikes at a more affordable price than ever. We can’t wait to test the new generation.
