Audi opens a new charging hub in Berlin

After Nuremberg and Zurich, Audi has now opened its third charging hub in Berlin. Located in Berlin Prenzlauer Berg, next to the FrischeParadies, it offers four fast-charging points with up to 320 kW power which can be reserved by Audi customers in advance. Nevertheless the Audi charging hub is open for any car brand but only Audi drivers have the option to book a slot advance.

In Berlin, Audi relies on a local partnership with the FrischeParadies –– a shopping market and bistro from which Audi uses the existing power supply. The Audi charging station and Frischeparadies will be linked by a shared power line in the future. This line can supply either facility with energy as needed, and it is equipped with second-life batteries to recharge the buffer batteries only when necessary.

The charging hub in Nuremberg consists of six charging points and a 200-square-meter lounge above. Thanks to its modular and scalable system, Audi is able to adapt to the conditions of each location. With minimal planning effort, no civil engineering and independent of the grid connection. The charging hubs can be set up within 4 weeks.
