ZEEKR X – the urban all-electric SUV
Founded in 2021, ZEEKR is a new player on the automotive market. More precisely it’s the luxury electric mobility technology brand from Geely Holding Group, aiming to create an integrated user ecosystem with innovation at its core. Built on the Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), ZEEKR integrates its own battery technologies, electric motor technologies, and electric vehicle supply chain. In Gothenburg, Sweden, the European R&D Centre and Global Design Centre collaborate to develop core technologies, visionary designs, and future sustainable mobility solutions. ZEEKR's success story started in China, where they have already delivered over 100.000 units, including the ZEEKR 001 and the ZEEKR 009 MPV.
Design
The ZEEKR X is a sleek luxury SUV designed for urban living and exploration. Its compact size (measuring 4,432mm long, 1,566mm high and with a 2,750mm wheelbase) makes it ideal for city streets, while its elegant design captures attention. With hidden sealing strips and frameless doors and mirrors, the ZEEKR X achieves a seamless transition between sheet metal and glass. Not only does this enhance its aesthetic appeal, but it also contributes to its low drag coefficient of 0.28 Cd, improving both range and refinement. Embodying timeless proportions based on the 'golden ratio', used in art and architecture, this SUV is an adventurous companion for families and individuals seeking new challenges and environments to discover.
The innovative tail lights, crafted from lightweight organic glass material, featuring 229 LEDs and a glowing white 'ZEEKR' logo, create a captivating visual experience. The spacious interior, cleverly optimized by the all-electric powertrain, is further enhanced by the arc-shaped panoramic roof. Luxurious details such as massage seats and a premium Yamaha surround sound system elevate the overall sense of tranquility and comfort.
Infotainment and connectivity
The intelligent cockpit of the ZEEKR X boasts cutting-edge technology, providing an immersive user experience. Equipped with an 8.8-inch HD instrument cluster, a 'floating' 14.6-inch HD touchscreen, and a 24.3-inch augmented reality head-up display (AR-HUD), it brings navigation instructions and ADAS system warnings to life. Additionally, the 360-degree HD panoramic imaging system uses wide angle cameras to accurately predict and alert the driver to potential hazards in busy urban driving environments. The vehicle's dynamic character can be customized through the touchscreen, while a specially developed 13-speaker Yamaha surround sound audio system enhances the journey with high-quality sound reproduction, akin to a home cinema experience.
Also here in the infotainment system, ZEEKR insists on integrating innovative and yet uncommon features either, such as bringing the inside sound, your favourite music to the outside of the vehicle as well as the feature on the b-pillar that you do not want to disturb. Of course various other signs i.e. a pet is in the car, can be set.
Performance and drive train
The ZEEKR X utilises cutting-edge electric motor and battery technology, delivering outstanding range, efficiency, and performance. With a 69kWh Lithium-ion battery, it offers sufficient energy density and durability. Equipped with a 200 kW electric motor, the Long Range model accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 5.6 seconds and boasts a range of approximately 440 km. Moreover, the Privilege model features a second motor for a maximum output of 315 kW, providing all-wheel drive and an impressive acceleration of 0-100km/h in only 3.8 seconds. The powertrain efficiently switches between all- and rear-wheel drive to optimize range. The ZEEKR X also incorporates a heat pump for enhanced energy efficiency during winter, while its fast-charging capability replenishes the battery from 0-80 percent in under 30 minutes. Additionally, the convenient 22 kW AC on-board charger enables full home charging within four hours.
The ZEEKR X can already be pre-ordered by customers in Sweden and the Netherlands. Pricing starts at €44,990 for the single motor Long Range model. In addition flagship ZEEKR stores will open in Stockholm and Amsterdam by the end of this year.
