Tesla's new supercharger in West Hollywood – with diner and drive-in movie theater
Tesla's ambitious vision for a diner and drive-in theater supercharger station in West Hollywood , Los Angeles has been given the green light. After a series of teases on Twitter from CEO Elon Musk between 2018 and 2021, the permit application and technical drawings were submitted in 2022, and now, the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety finally granted approval.
Located at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard, the site will be transformed into a state-of-the-art Tesla Supercharger, complete with a charming diner and a nostalgic walk-in movie theater. Construction is expected to commence soon.
The upcoming plan features an impressive two-story structure. Complete with bars, an outdoor restaurant seating area, and two captivating "drive-in" screens, this space will showcase thrilling movies that run for about 30 minutes each. Not only that, but there will also be 32 charging stations available, ensuring you never run out of power. Tesla is committed to operating this station round the clock.
Tesla continues to push boundaries and redefine the experience at charging stations. Stay tuned for further updates and be part of this incredible journey.
