The first BYTON Place in Shanghai
The Chinese start-up BYTON was founded in 2017 with the vision of building first-class intelligent electric cars for the future. Advanced digital technologies are integrated in the premium vehicles in order to offer the customer a smart, comfortable and environmentally friendly driving and mobility experience.
In early 2019 the company opened its first store worldwide in Shanghai. The opening of the first store marks the beginning of a new, extensive sales strategy. Another place as BYTON calls it, is going to open in Chongqing and by the end of 2019 there will already be 30 BYTON Places in China before the European and American market will be opened end of 2020. With the offline channels, BYTON wants to offer the customer a better brand experience, connect them with the lifestyle of the brand and ultimately inspire them for the brand as well as for the first M-Byte model. At the BYTON places customers can immerse themselves in the innovative UI (User Interface) and the intuitive and practical multi-dimensional human-machine interface from BYTON via AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality) and the Shared Experience Display Simulators – specifically developed cockpit displays that neither distract nor restrict the driver's view towards the road.
“BYTON Place Shanghai is our first offline space to connect with our customers. It kicks off the official building of our hybrid sales model that combines direct-sales store with BYTON Partner store and is part of our effort to put the customer at the center of everything.” – Dr. Daniel Kirchert, President and co-founder of BYTON
In addition to the BYTON Places in big cities, there will be in the future a network of BYTON partners who support and thus expand the sales and service network. The models that the customer previously configured and ordered online or in a BYTON Place should also be delivered to these companies.
The first series of the model BYTON M-Byte will be handed over to customers in China by the end of 2019. Deliveries to the United States and Europe will follow in 2020.
