Exploring Berlin with the most stylish e-bike from VanMoof
We already introduced you to Amsterdam-based brand VanMoof known for their smart and stylish city bikes. They managed to create a completely new concept of urban e-bikes by passing on superfluous parts, designing it classic and timeless and by integrating the latest technology. The Electrified S2 was the first intelligent digitally connected e-bike on the market.
Now we tested the Electrified X2. The main difference between the Electrified S2 and the X2 is the size of the bike. While for the S2, you as a rider should have a height between 170 and 210 cm to have a comfortable ride, the X2 is perfect for a size between 155 to 200 cm. Apart from that both e-bikes pack the same motor, battery and smart technology.
What we have to highlight is the beautiful design of the bike. So clean and minimal. Absolutely right that VanMoof has received various awards on their work including the Wallpaper Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award. Besides the great design of the e-bike, it is super easy to ride and very comfortable. You get from A from B quickly – exactly what you need for the larger distances here in Berlin. We took the bike and rode to the James-Simon Gallery in Berlin-Mitte. As the electrified models have theft protection, we were not afraid of parking this quite expensive bike in front of the gallery. Prices for the bike start from 3.398 €. However in case this happens that your bike gets stolen, the amazing Peace of Mind Service is there for you. The Bike Hunters will take care that your stolen bike is found and will bring it back to you. If they can’t find it within two weeks, it will be replaced by a bike of the same (or better) age and condition. We have to say a great service.
Another nice add on is the VanMoof app. With the app we were able to lock and unlock the bike, to see where we parked our bike and to custom our riding preferences for example to adjust the sound, light and speed.
The bikes are available in fog white and thunder gray. Besides you can tailor your bike to your personal preferences for example by adding a front or rear carrier. Create your own e-bike here.
So all in all it was a great and fun day to explore Berlin with this beautiful electric bike. We are highly impressed by all the smart features and the easy and comfortable ride and can only recommend this well-designed e-bike whether it’s the Electrified S2 or the X2, which only difference in the size.
